| $35 at Wineclub in Santa Ana.
Nice red/purple color, but not exceedingly dark, translucent. Typical, young iodine nose, nicely red to black fruited with decent complexity, medium body, and a medium finish sporting some prickly tannins. Should be a nice medium term wine to drink while waiting for the other '00s to come around. 91 points. | | | |

Did you serve this wine directly from bottle after opening it, or did you decant it first? If decant , for how long? TIA

| | Medium nose of toasty oak, cassis, earth and graphite. Full bodied, medium-to-medium plus intensity, medium minus acidity. Smoke, earth, cassis, spice and black fruits. Balanced with medium plus tannin. Estimate another 5 years to start drinking. 90pts. | | | |
