| Had this with friends last night. Probably a little premature but it was enjoyable. Mostly Merlot, and although not an awesome vintage 1994 produced better merlot dominant wines than cab sav dominant wines.
Colour: red with hints of cinamon colurs. Nose: Plum and cedar evident but develope into pleasant stemy characters. Some choclate (maybe a cab franc note) and some minty notes also. Palate: Good length with the tannins evolving on the palate. Structure was lacking with the acids overbearing the textural balance I enjoy with Bordeauxs (hence I tend although not always let them age.). A little green to my mind. Finnished aorund the rear of the mid-palate. Overall: An enjoyable wine, but not something I would go out of my way to find. 86 points on the Jeremy Scale. | | | |
