Black/Red in color. Slightly closed nose with telltale elements of Bordeaux - sweet cassis, currant, bakers yeast and a Margaux floral character. In the mouth the wine is low acid and tannic on the finish suggesting aging potential. Great midpalate and length with a puckering tannic finish. For some reason I saved some in the bottle and on the second night this wine had become a 'Wow' wine. No longer closed the wine offered an expressive nose with ample, rich, dark fruit, chocolate and coffee on the palate. Good thing I tasted it over two days. This is a great bottle of wine and those of you who own it are in for a treat in the future.

Thanks for the TN on this one. I only have a couple of them and it's always a gamble on when to open the first one. WA says 2009.

Tex, I wonder if this wine won't offer pleasure throughout its aging process. Just speculation on my part. You can't go wrong in waiting. I'd probably try a bottle sooner than 2009 but that is just an opinion. You are lucky to have this in the box.

How much you want? I can get cases of this stuff at COSTCO. It's been there for months.

Joe, that was thoughtful of you to offer. I think I paid about $40 locally. Out of curiousity what price are you seeing in your neck of the woods?

Thanks for the notes, Roberto.

I've got two bottles squirreled away in the celar until they hit the beginning of their maturity window.

Next time I'm there I'll make sure it is the same wine and what the price is.

My mistake. Costco had a different wine.
