| | $30. Medium red in color with a big iodine nose that also offers sweet earth, tobacco, some barnyard, cod liver oil, and a hint of oak, whew... this 4th Growth saves the night for me! Red fruits, tobacco, and oak on a medium body that is nicely balanced with good acidity. Well integrated chewy tannins run through a nice medium plus finish. Enjoyable now with a couple hours of air and some good meat, but should be quite nice in 5+ years though not the greatest QPR in the world. 89+ points. | | | |

| | From the Denver Offline-Decanted for 2 hours prior to tasting. Nose of tire rubber and a little bit of barnyard stink. The nose betrays the palate. On the palate there's caramel, and big dark fruit. Nice structure. Amazingly approachable and complex. Good structure. Could benefit from 1-2 years of cellar time. 91 pts. | | | |

| | Hard to believe a year has come and gone since we all started sampling the '00 goods. Good to hear you enjoyed this, I had a taste a second time somewhere in the summer months and bought a few more, saw it at Cost Plus recently for around $26. | | | |

| I bought several of these at my local World Market (Cost Plus) for $27.
Went back the next week, and they'd been marked up to $40. | | | |

| | I was just going to post what Gary said...because he told me. Fortunately, I had grabbed some at the same price. Our local wine guy said that the '00s are now difficult go get from the distributor, and they're going to the 3rd market to get them, thus jacking up the price. | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| What does cod liver oil smell like? It is a very specific descriptor.

| | A few more notes from the Denver offline. Wood, rubber and raspberries on the nose. Fruit and unripe berries with mild tannings nad a long finish. Fruit hangs in for the finish. Complex and fun to drink. A really nice wine. 91 points. | | | |
