TNs from the June 9th Offline @ Meadowood...

Excellent color, with light bricking, the nose on this wine is simply gorgeous. Deep, dense aromas of spice, earth, strawberries, cassis, and smoke lead into a seamless palate, richly textured and voluptuous, with fine tannins, deep complexity, and a truly exciting character. A simply lovely wine that is delicious now, but will no doubt hold for years to come. 97 points.

A little off the pace of the bottle we opened at the Meadowood Dinner 6/9/04 at the start of this thread, this bottle still contained the wine I was looking forward to. Ruby red coloration with very slight bricking and a seamless medium body. Super aromas of spice, cassis, cigar box, and strawberry (as EW noted) proceed gloriously to the palate. Velvety and sumptious the wine moves to the finish with a still present grip. Excellent stuff! 95 points
