1998 Larrivet Haut Brion White, Pessac-Leognan, Bordeaux, France. 13% alcohol. $30.

Light to medium green gold color. Grass, straw, honey, and developing notes of petrol. Nicely viscous on the palate with well balanced acidity and lingering flavors of lime and honey. Drinking quite well at present, my preference would be to drink this wine up over the next three years (it doesn’t have the stuffing or acidity for this White Bordeaux to make old bones) 87 points.
