I keep getting suckered by famous names. First Haut Medoc du Prieuré (see previous note), now this. At least the first wine was made by the same estate as the classified growth; this one (I now realize) bears no relation to its apparent namesake, Ch. Cantemerle.

Note: ruby colored, thick legs, slight amount of sediment upon decanting. Nose mostly closed upon opening; later shows blackcurrent, cherries, pencil shavings. Light to medium bodied, somewhat acidic, round without a whole lot of structure. The label tells me it is 88% Merlot. I'd give this an 80 - perfectly ok but nothing interesting whatsoever. 7 pounds/13 dollars.
