Dark purple in color. Signature Bdx stink coupled with a nose of raspberries and bandaids. Medium bodied. This wine seemed to have a little bit of a thin finish. 87 pts.

I have a case of this. This is my 2000 Bordeaux "cellar defender". Can't wait to try one.

joe,

didn't you grab any reignac or pipeau? they are my 00 bdx cellar defenders. plus they are great wines, both at least 90pts imo.

I also have a case of this. I am hoping it will develop and open up in a few years.

Tasted both but didn't buy any. My crystal ball said go with the Sarget.

Over a year ago I found this to need significant air, I have a bunch put away, but one is out in the drink rack waiting for me to get around to it. How long was yours opened before you drank Lafon?

I'd say about an hour and a half.

Leaves and a small funk with some fruit jam. Slightly medicinal but still nice. Good mouthfeel. Dry tannings and a long finish with good fruit. I liked this more than others here, giving it a 90 at the Denver offline with Lafon Rochet.
