| A pretty reddish purple, I took a chance and did not decant. Bouquet of deep dark fruits and a cedary scent, initial mouthfeel was medium in weight with an upfront blend of dark cherry, boysenberry, and dark currant. Surprising acidity and tannins that were quite supportive of the fruit. Throughout my meal, the tannins mellowed somewhat leaving a modest but not prolonged fruity finish. A nice effort from a producer who has given me both surprising successes and disappointing failures especially in the chardonnay arena. 86 and I stay on the mailing list.
