2002 Pinot Gris Barrel Reserve: $18. Oaky nose. Flavorless. I shudder to think of what the non-reserve tastes like. 70

2002 Viognier: $18. True varietal nose. Thin. 74

Sparkling Pear: $13.50. Chenin Blanc-like nose. I dumped it. 70

2001 Cahmbourcin: $13. Rich oaky nose. Thin. 74

2002 Merlot: $18. No nose. No flavor. Was this red water? 70

2001 Cabernet Sauvignon: $18. Just opened. Light oaky nose. Blah. 75

Strawberry Splendor: $9.50. 10% residual sugar. Scheurebe nose. Nice. Balanced. 88

2001 Finale White Port: $16.50/375. 11.5% residual sugar. Smells like rubbing alcohol. Bitter. 78



Cayuga Ridge Estate:

nv Chardonnay: $12.95. Light nose of toasted oak and vanilla. Crisp and fruity. 88

nv Cayuga Cuvee: $9.95. Blend of Chardonnay and Cayuga White. Bland. 78

Reserve Chancellor: $14.95. Glad I didn't try the regular bottling. 74

Cabernet Franc: $14.95. Green pepper nose. Sharp. 76

Cranberry Essence: $9.50 5% residual sugar. Flat soda. 74

Cranberry Frost: Sparkling. Soda. 75



Thirsty Owl Wine Company:

2001 Chardonnay: $11.95. light nose of oak and vanilla. Sharp. Not much flavor. 77

2002 Pinot Noir: $16.95. Sharp. Blah. 74

nv Merlot: $14.95. Nice rich nose. Dark fruit flavors. Sharp. 78

Limited Edition Riesling: Light and crisp with citrus flavors. 82

Blushing Moon: $8.95. Cayuga White and Chancellor. Ugh. 72

Red Moon: $8.95. Chancellor and Riesling. Blah. 74

Vidal Blanc: A little sharp. Dry. 80



Hosmer Winery:

1997 Pinot Noir: Cherry nose. Light. 86

1998 Pinot Noir: Light. Blah. 80

1999 Pinot Noir: Light cherry nose. 82

2001 Pinot Noir: Light cherry nose. Tannic. Relatively promising. 82-85

2002 Pinot Noir: Nice floral nose. Light. 84

1998 Cabernet Franc: A little sharp. 83

1999 Cabernet Franc: Sharp cherry flavors. Some tannin. Needs time. 84

2000 Cabernet Franc: Flat but fruity. 85

2001 Cabernet Franc: Closed nose. Fruity. 85

2002 Cabernet Franc: Sharp and young. Difficult to evaluate.



Lucas Vineyards:

2002 Chardonnay: $11.99. Nose of light oak. Sharp. 82

2001 Reserve Cabernet Franc: $17.99. Nose of cassis and berries. Simple, but nice. 85

2000 Cabernet Franc: $14.99. First one was madeirized. The other was simple and not overly tannic. 86

2002 Semi Dry Riesling: $10.99. Simple. Skippable. 80

2002 Reserve Riesling: $12.99. 8 % residual sugar. Nose closed. Nice citrus flavors. 87
