| We visited this winery 22 days ago. It's got the distinction, along with Lakeview Cellars, of being about the worst wineries we've ever visited. Too bad. The property is beautiful and hosts weddings. I hope they serve beer. The wines:
2001 Reserve Chardonnay, 12.7% alcohol, $16-
Melon nose with some stank on it. Lousy. If this is the Rserve, I'm very happy to have skipped the regular bottling. 68
2004 Riesling, 12% alcohol, $11-
Very light apple nose. Simple. 75
2000 Covered Bridge Bordeaux type blend, 12% alcohol, (magnum) $17- [B]Horrible![/B] 66
1999 Pinot Gris Icewine, 9.2% alcohol, $90-
Honey nose. Rich stewed fruit flavors. Nice balance. Unique. 91 | | | |

| | I seem to find that more common these days. Everyone is into wines, and the owner just fills the room with cheap labor. Had this experience at Fox Run this summer. | | | |
