From magnum.

Dark ruby/purple colour. Lots of dill on the nose, joined by blackberry, earth, cherry, herbs-de-Provence. On the palate, more dill with red fruit. Short finish, ~15s, with still more dill and red fruit. 85 points (01/22/2005).

I believe I tried this at the winery, but I can't find my Malivoire notes. As I remember it, I thought they made a drinkable Chardonnay.

Niagara region in Ontario. It's really not all that good. Servicable, but not much more.

I've been to Malivoire three or four times and just dug out the notes from our most recent trip. We tasted 6 wines including the 2000 Old Vines Foch. Three of the dry wines I scored 85, 85, and 86, as high as any we tried on the four trips with one or two exceptions. My brief notes on the 2000 Old Vines Foch, tasted 14 months ago:

Rich, concentrated nose, a little too acidic, nice flavor, 85

Based on these notes, I'd consider it in the top 10-15% of all the dry wines I tried in the area.
