| Having been introduced to Niagara by Inniskillin, I am not a great fan of the region. This wine turned my head a bit.
Light golden hue, a nose of what appeared to be unctuous peach. Generous mouthfeel, a glycerined honeyed nectarine emerged which declined to recede. Ample finish which made me lick my lips for residual flavor that did not disappoint. Served as dessert itself, 91 easily. Happy.

| | Very interesting, thanks for the notes. I haven't been up Niagara way recently, but will try to remember the next time I am up there to loook into this. Did you get it while on a trip up there or can you find it around your parts? | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com | |

| Tasted at the Victorville get together on 4/19/03.
2000 Jackson-Triggs Riesling Ice Wine Okanagan Valley; Concentrated, with layers of ripe apple, apricot, peach, and orange marmalade. HDW 93 Price ??
Another surprise from an unexpected region. My rating 91 points, and the best Niagara wine I have had to date.

| mbansek,
The reason it's the best Niagara you had is that the Okanagan Valley is in British Columbia.
I think it sells for about $70CDN

| I think I just read something recently about the 2001 vintage being the best Ice Wine in Canada this year.
I believe the article also said the 2001 was rated 95 pts.
I'm not sure if the article was talking about the 2001 or the 2000???
Great memory...but real short!
p.s.- plusvini is right...we are talking about Jackson-Triggs OKANAGAN in B.C.

| | The best Canadian wine I have ever had, dry or sweet, from an admittedly small sample. At $70 Canadian the price is a bit steep. A nice wine nonetheless. | | | |

| Well, GA, based on your recommendation alone (good and Canadian), I bought a bottle today. It was $53CDN. | | | |

| Aw c'mon Plusvini! I actually love Canada. There are a select few Canadians I find annoying, present company excluded of course.
The Jackson and Triggs held up well in some pretty good company for sweeties. It was actually the fourth one we tried, during our back patio cigar portion of the evening. I do drink a lot of stickies and would put this one in my cellar. Let us know what you think when you try it.
