A Texas Wine. I think we have found a wine for mexican food.
It's almost wrong to call this a sangiovese, it is more like a light grenache. But the sweetness should pair okay with enchiladas and fajitas,etc.

The light red wine is almost transparent in the glass. There are some strawberries and oak on the nose and palate. A simple wine. Easy to drink. Not dried out and oaked like other Texas wines.

Is this winery outside of Austin near Becker?

No. It is Southwest of Fredericksburg.

It's like 15 to 20 miles from Becker, plus several cattle guards

Heh - cattle guards. Boy, do I miss the Southwest
