This came from Jim Maresh's personal collection. He warned me before we opened it that bottle variation might be a factor. Well it was but on the postitve side of the spectrum. This wine still had a youthful dark ruby red color. Slight bricking on the edges. The nose is very aromatic showing dried black fruits, a touch of fresh strawberry and sweet cedar framing the backround. On the palate the fruit just bursts with fresh blackberry, strawberry and vanilla. Very complex and very well balanced. The finish is fruit driven with smooth integrated tannins and just the right amount of white pepper balanced with youthful acidity. I timed the finish at nearly 40 seconds. By far one of the best Oregon Pinot Noirs I've every had the pleasure to drink. This is a solid 94 points. This wine still has several good years ahead of it. Thanks Jim for pulling another magic wine out of the hat.

Cheers
