The wine is a clear, medium garnet. Spicy cherry, raspberry, and bramble nose. Warm cherry flavors interwoven with spices and a hint of raspberry on the palate, following through to a medium raspberry finish. Good acidity holds everything together, with just a hint of tannin on the back palate. This lacks some of the concentration, richness and complexity of his vineyard designated wines, but for $13 (two years ago) I'm not complaining. 89 points. Drink over the next couple of years.
