I had this with ttepper two nights ago. It was to accompany the veal chop entree, but we polished off while I was cheffing.

The beautiful nose was filled with cherries and earth. It was by no means over the hill, but that expansive elegance that the best PNs develop with time was missing. It was flavorful with a slight surfeit of acidity. 89

Did you get that bottle off wine bid?

Thanks for the notes. The bethel heights fruit always has very interesting acidity. They are on Jory soil which is common in Oregon however it is usually very deep soil. Over there the jory soil is more much shallow which is the reason that I heard gives Bethal Heights that acidity.

Jim, I bought that bottle, along with all my other 1994 OR PNs from a guy who ships to me from OR, as soon as the wines were released.
