Tasted at the Salud! auction dinner.

Medium garnet color. Brown sugar, blackberries, and blueberries in the nose. The berries continue on the palate with some burnt flavors. Not particularly concentrated and not very long. This one was the only wine left at the end of the evening. Not a good sign. 83 points.

I believe this label is chataue benoit trying to start a new image. I don't think it has worked.

You are correct. I've only had one good wine from this winery, and that was a 1982 late harvest chardonnay That was a long time ago.
