| Deep garnet color. Black cherries, a hint of blackberry, some earth, slightly reduced nose. Well balanced cherries, blackberries, and blueberries on the palate, with just a hint of oak peeking through. Good structure and a very nice finish. Very well integrated. As Board_O mentioned in his review of the winery, a little more concentration would be desirable. For the $18 price though, Mrs Duke and I both thought this was a pretty good value. 89 points. | | Heater Allen Brewing

| Duke, I believe the bottle we tasted with Harry had just been opened. I found it expansive but light. The quality I most look for in Pinot Noir is expansiveness. If this developed with exposure to air, as it likely did when you had a bottle, I'm not surprised it was good. Evaluating young Pinot Noir, especially immediately after the bottle was opened, is almost impossible to do with any degree of certainty. I'm the first to admit the mountain of variables when tasting at a winery. | | | |
