This was one of three bottles that Jack Rovics gave to us as we left the Panther Creek Winery. We had it with dinner at The Jacksonville Inn with Seared Halibut in Saffrpn Broth with Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, and Ratatouille, and Ribeye Steak with Rock Shrimp and Mushrooms in a Brandy Cream Sauce.

The wine had a light nose of berries and parsley. On the palate, the wine was light and uncomplicated. 86

I tasted a barrel sample of Patricia Green's 2002 Anden Vineyard Pinot Noir and found it rich and gorgeous. Shaded toward darker fruit, a strong streak of acidity, nice nose of blackberry and cherry. Lovely stuff. I'm buying, and will look forward to St. Innocent's Anden if they bottle a PN from this vineyard.

My understanding is that Anden is a portion of the Seven Springs vineyard, split off and renamed after a divorce of the owners.

You know more about it than I do. The 2002 barrel samples we tasted were almost all very impressive. I'm not sure if that speaks well for the 2002 vintage (I'd guess it does.) or the forward character of the barrel samples.
