Popped and poured. Faint yellow-gold. The nose is pretty......with aromas of light citrus, apricot, pear, a hint of lilly with a trace of stoney minerals. Medium body in the mouth, this Pinot Gris has more stuffing than many others that are produced domestically. Off dry, there are many delicious fruit flavors of stone fruits, green apple, citrus, hint of mango. Finishes with a backbone of spice and minerals. The acidity and sugar are in harmony with each other.....however, a touch of heat on the finish detracts slightly from the overall experience. I believe WS gave this a 91.....I could maybe agree with that score after I give my other bottles another 6-10 months time to settle down. Either way, IMHO this has to be one of the best examples of American Pinot Gris available....period. (89 pts.)

Popped and poured. Pale yellow-gold. Stone fruits, minerals, pear, candle wax (as others have noted). Medium bodied, nicely concentrated for a Pinot Gris. On this evening I tasted more apple and spice on the palate. A touch of sweetness is matched perfectly by the plus acidity; both elements work in harmony to draw out the fruit. The refreshing and pure close is accented with minerals. I do still sense a touch of heat........but all-in-all, this is an outstanding Pinot Gris.

Wish my wife hadn't opened because now I only have 1 bottle left.........but I can't fault her good taste! (90 pts.)
