2006 McKinlay Pinot Noir - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (8/2/2008)
WIML89+

Tasted August 2, 2008 at a retail tasting.

Light garnet to garnet color in the glass, a little dusty looking throughout. Nose of briar patch, berries and maybe some tobacco notes. Flavors of bright berries and cherries. Bright acidity, light to medium tannins, light to medium body. Drink over the short to medium term. Since this wine is hovering around the $21.00-$22.00 a bottle mark at retail I'd say this is a really nice QPR and is recommended on that basis. (89 pts.)
