1996 Cameron Pinot Noir Clos Electrique - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (7/6/2008)
WIML92
Tasted July 6, 2008
Opened and served immediately. Garnet color in the glass, dusty looking. Earthy nose of peet with some added notes of leather and mixed berries. Flavors of orange peel up front followed by some nice yet delicate berries. Medium acidity, fully integrated tannins, medium body. Drink now.
I know that IWC rated this wine only 87 points and that in general 1996 was considered an average at best vintage for this region but man I really dug this wine. (92 pts.)
