Tasted June 18, 2007 at the winery. Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, slightly opaque looking. Nose of black licorice, black currants and jammy plums. Too hot on the nose. Flavors of black licorice, jam and cassis. Once again too hot on the palate. Medium acidity and tannins, medium to full body. Drink or hold. 19% alcohol. WARNING: do not consume near open flames.
