2005 Witness Tree Vineyard Pinot Noir Vintage Select - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (6/16/2007)
WIML90,NOWA,NOWS

Tasted June 16, 2007 at the winery. Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue with some slight dustiness towards the base. Nose of black cherries, black berries and spices. Flavors of black berries, black cherries and some raspberry on the finish. Light to medium acidity, moderate to integrated tannins, medium body. Can probably be drank now with about an hour in the decanter to start or continue to hold. 13.4% alcohol. (90 pts.)

I have had previous vintages of this and enjoyed it very much. And I recall that it was a screaming bargain. What is current price for the various witness Tree wines?

There's an "Estate" bottling that's in the $20 range. I think it's a solid value. This may be what JimmyV is thinking of.

2005 Witness Tree Vineyard Pinot Noir Vintage Select - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (8/30/2008)
WIML90,PURPLE92

Tasted August 30, 2008.

Opened and served immediately. Dark garnet color in the glass, slightly dusty looking. Nose of saddle soap, black berries and raspberries. Also a bit of dustiness. Flavors of berries and raspberries. Medium to tart acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Kind of in an awkward stage right now so I'm not sure whether to recommend holding longer or not. (90 pts.)
