2002 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Seven Springs - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (6/10/2007)
Not Decanted. First sip right out of the bottle had great red fruit and a suprisingly firm tannic base. While quite drinkable, I found that the wine's flavor profile improved considerably over the 4 hour drinking window, although the aromas diminished considerably as well. Great balance and crispness, good acidity, not really any of the cola found in many PNs(a plus in my book) all-in-all a great PN. My first SI, and certainly not my last. (93 pts.) |
