'99 Archery Summit Premier Cuvee-Nose of cherry and cranberry, seems more mature. Lighter in the mouth than most, but good fruit purity. Raspberry and cranberries in the mouth. Mild tannins. Somewhat tart finish, but I liked it. jb Rating 90.

| AS wines are among the higher priced upper end thus lower qpr Oregon PN.
This 99 is well balanced and crafted as are most 99's, but I felt just short on fruit. also 90 pts but qpr B-

| If something is short on fruit, how can it be a 90 point wine? What is a 71 La Tache, a 150? | | | |

You overestimate the strength of my "just short of fruit" comment. I thought this a well crafted medium bodied wine that had good acid and tannin structure, but was just a bit short on its' dark cherry fruit, when I tried it months ago. "Pure" as per jb is a good description; just a bit light, especially compared to the '98. IME 90 pts seems right. Perhaps a point less. Irrelevant. Still not worth $40.00
Couldn't tell you about the La Tache.

| I have two different sets of TNs, about a month apart from each other. The first was on 9/20 at the DC Coast & Toast dinner with Vino Me, Dr. T and TanninPIg. The second TNs are from the 10/19 LBI dinner with jb, ojeffso, LCC and ttepper...
9/20/02 99 Archery Summit Premier Cuvee They brought us bigger stems for this, thankfully. This wine is wonderful. Classy & finesseful. Really nice fruits -- currants and a hint of brambly fruits. The wine can make you wiggle and waggle it’s so good. 91+
10/19/02 WINE I: '99 Archery Summit Premier Cuvee Lighter and tighter. Tight 'baby' berries like currants, cranberries and brambly fruits. Some hints of spice, too. Some charcoal, but hey, this was Wine I for crying out loud. Tannins leave your tongue smacking. Will be better with a bit more time. TJ rating 90-91
I really like this wine, but I think the price in the future may not justify a case purchase, but surely a bottle or two. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

Had this again recently and time has done some nice things to this. I took no formal notes, but cherries have entered the picture this time around and the wine kept a nice balance. Tannins have integrated nicely and it does not feel quite so tight anymore. It's achieved a better elegance than before. Still, I am going to downgrade my rating since I tend to be a tougher judge these days. I'll give it 88 pts now. | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| - 1999 Archery Summit Pinot Noir Premier Cuvee - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (7/4/2005)
Can't remember the exact date we had this but it was recently. This was my very last bottle of the case I bought a few years ago (first case of a single wie I have ever bought).
Anyway, this has become a rather nice wine. Things have come together nicely and it's got some nice spiced cherries, some faint vanilla, cranberries and more. The tannins have found their homes here and they hold thing up quite well. I was expecting to be underwhelmed as I thought my tatses had moved on from this but this was quite nice. I'm not a good judge as to how well things will age or improved, but I'd suspect that this is not only ready to drink now, but it could go a couple of more years before plateauing or declining... A solid effort. 90 pts. (90 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker! | | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com
