| Tasted as part of JTC dinner Oct. 2002
'99 Argyle Nuthouse PN-Very dark pinot. Highly extracted and sweet. A real departure from the other wines, but I liked it a lot. Black cherry, blackberry, oak and vanilla on steriods. Tannic and young. Long finish. jb Rating 91

| | I brought this wine to the dinner and I have some more in the cellar. Would you let this sit for a few more years? | | | |

| | wineaux go ahead and put this in the TN request section, it is bound to get more attention there. Or go ahead and try it and let us know by posting TN's. | | | |

| Seek1,
You're fast. I posted this prior to realizing that the TNRs were tucked away in the Wine Related Discussions Catagory. I'll be on my best behavior in the future.

| I tasted this at the same dinner as jb did..
WINE F: '99 Argyle Nuthouse PN This smelled green to me, as in not quite ripe yet. Then, after a bit, it revealed horseradish -- yes, horseradish. I think ojeffso said it out loud and it fit perfectly what I had in my head but could not find the words for. Cherries & other red berries mixed with rose hips. Nice tannins, to boot, but still way up front. TJ rating -- 91 | | www.roguefood.com -- www.cellartracker.com

| | Like TBird, I picked up a case of this on release, and have happily polished off four so far. Agree with the 91 rating of the others, and although it could certainly develop into 2004 I've got the feeling that mine won't last that long. And as soon as anyone tastes the '00, please post. | | | |

| | yea, board-o. i know it's a sin to some/most, but i'm fairly new to the game and depend alot on young juice, or it would be nothing at all. i do decant for what it's worth. i'll say this, tho. it was drinking just fine, imo. | | | |

| Haven’t had a chance to try the ’00 Nuthouse but I did get several tastes of its big brother the ’00 Spirithouse at Boston Wine Expo last weekend. Here are the notes:
Remarkably dark in color (compared to the rest of the pinots on offer) with dark cherry and some vanilla on the nose and flavors of cherry, pepper and chocolate. Needs a couple of years to resolve itself but it was delicious nonetheless.
The winery rep hinted that the ‘00 Nuthouse was even better . . .
