This wine is made from Draper clone chardonnay that was planted in 1976. The fruit went to Eyrie until 1983, and has gone to Cameron since then. The vineyard is one of the highest in the Dundee Hills and is dry-farmed.

Medium gold color. The wine shows aromas of pear, granny smith apple, and meyer lemons. On the palate the fruit is all evident, along with figs. Great body, balance, mid-palate, and finish. This wine has a litlle of that mouth-watering character that I really enjoy. Unlike past wines from this vineyard and producer, I didn't find any discernable oak. An outstanding wine. Drink now to 2014.
