This was a pop and pour wine straight from the cellar. I did splash decant but it needed time to warm up. I think that an hour would be a good decant. The alcohol is 13.4% and it cost $18. The nose is raspberry and some musty forest floor. The plate has sour and muted cherry and raspberry. Right now, the tannis are controlling the wine, and if they resolve/intergrate, this might be a nice pinot. I hope the fruit lasts. Pete

2003 Scott Paul Cellars Pinot Noir Cuvée Martha Pirrie - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (8/26/2008) WIML89,PURPLE89 Tasted August 26, 2008. 13.4% alcohol. Bottled under fake cork (yuk). Opened and served immediately. Dusty rose color in the glass. Lovely perfumed nose with notes of berries, raspberries and cherries. Delicate palate of berries, raspberries and cherries. Medium acidity, fully resolved tannins, medium body. Drink now and I mean it. (89 pts.)
