2004 Adelsheim Pinot Noir Calkins Lane Vineyard - Tasted at the NOWFE Oregon Pinot Noir seminar. Decanted for approximately one hour. This is not bad. It won't blow your socks off, but it is a a good wine. Crystal clean burgundy color throughout. Upfront, forward nose of fresh cut oak, celery seed, raspberry, and a hint of dark damp earth. Very nice. The acidity hits you quick, but its not overwhelming. Bright cherry and a bit of unripe plum on the palate, meshed with integrated but discernable tannin levels. Cedar and a prominent hint of orange in the background. Nice silky body, medium length finish with acidity becoming more substantial in the aftertaste. Cellar 2-5 years. Not bad, but I'm not sure if it is worth the $45 price tag. 89+ points
