A bigger and more masculine wine that the Hyland. A grapy purple red hue with thin lightly colored legs. Reticent yet concentrated scents of minty oak with some vanilla, plum, tomato, pine, and mushroom. Lots of power in the mouth with high acidity and plenty of oak. Tastes of soy sauce and tart fruit on the finish. Drink now (2009) to 2013. 89+ points.
