| One of my all time fav PNs - decided to open one of the 04s last night for Thanksgiving just to see how they are tasting - lineup included 2 bottles of Chalone PN (01 and 02) as well as an 02 Patricia Green Balcomb block B. IMO, the Sineann was easily the best wine but obviously needs more cellar time. Smoke, cherries, earth and oak dominate, with loads of cola as well. I would recommend holding these for another 3-5 years or at least decanting for an hour if you open one in the near future. | | |

| I appreciate the post. Just picked up two of these at a price that is more than I have told myself I would pay for future acquisitions of pinot. $35 is pretty much my limit for pinot (just the line I arbitrarily draw in the sand) but I had to have two bottles of this. Patricia Green Etzel Block or Notorious, Fiddlehead Lallapalooza, and Soter Beacon Hill are my other occasional exceptions. | | | |

| While you are waiting, try some of the Schindler - it is outstanding. Have you had an 02 Resonance lately? | | | |

| I have several bottles of Sineann and Lemelson's 2002 Resonance. Have not opened one yet. Does anyone have a 1st hand report on how they are drinking now? | | | |

| I loved the 2002 Resonanace when I tasted the barrel samples. I'm not opening mine for 4 or 5 years. The better OR PNs contionue to improve for a long time. It's a shame most of them are consumed long before they reach their prime. | | | |

| board-o,
if you liked the 02's, i would recommend checking out the 04's. i do not think you will be disappointed and i think they will be outstanding in a few years time... | | | |

| I don't like being the contrarian but I've been very disappointed with the turn the '02 Resonance has made over the last 18 months. I enjoyed my first bottle so much (02/04) that I purchased some more. But over the last year or so (5 bottles), the bright, clean fruit flavors have been overtaken by heavy coffee and sweet oak flavors. I opened my last tonight and won't be upset about it. | | | |

| wineaux, I think the wine is closed a bit now. I'm guessing it needs another 4 or 5 years. The best OR PNs I've had have all been 8-10 years from vintage date. | | | |

| We popped one of these the other day as I really wanted to try it out compared to some of the other 04 Pinots we've gotten into lately. Wow, this wine is big! Definitely needs either a lot of air time or some pretty heavy cellaring time. I think it's got all the potential to be a killer wine though, with time. Looking forward to taking Board O's recommendation of 8 - 10 years with this bad boy.
