This wine is made from the Dijon 113,114,115 & 777 clones along with the Pommard clone. The vineyard was planted in 94 and this was the third vintage harvested. We paid about $36.

Opened about an hour before drinking and decanted.

On the nose, the wine give very open aromas of dark fruit, spice, and a hint of perfume. On th palate the wine is full bodied and elegant with cherries and an intense spice mixture. Velvet texture and the finish is long.

This wine still seems young to us and we expect it will reach its peak in a year or two. We have enjoyed every bottle of the 99 vintage from this producer.

Thank you. I have this one resting and was curious as to whether I should tee it up soon. I'll wait a little longer based on your notes.

Beautiful wine drinking extremely well. Balanced and elegant - dark fruit and spice - I'll save the last bottle for next year.

Agree that '99 was a great vintage for Cristom. Drank my last one a short while ago (Marjorie). It was still drinking perfectly.

Just opened one recently. Earlier we had opened a PN from Shea Wine Cellars and a Cab Sauv from Solena, so have a lighter wine seemed so refreshing, as well as elegant. Wonderful cherry flavors.
