This wine is an auction lot made from the Claudia's Choice block in the vineyard and is primarily Pommard clone. Opened about an hour before drinking and decanted. It took almost two hours to open, and I think this needs another year or two before it gets into the peak period. This wine has beautiful balance and structure with great texture and mouth feel. Cherry on the nose and palate. And the most spices I have ever expereinced in a Pinot noir make this one to watch. A bid thanks to Rick and Jan for sharing this one with us.
