Dark ruby garnet, no shortage of colour here. Pretty wine. Nice stinky pinot nose of earth, obligatory barnyard and red fruit. Acidity and tannins wonderfully resolved, very pleasant to sip. Oak is very well integrated, well made wine. At first I was a bit concerned that the fruit and mid-palate were not what I would want. As the wine warmed a bit and caught some air some very nice Strawberry, sappy cherry and raspberry emerged with some cinnamon and clove, maybe a touch of cola. Don’t get cola too much in Oregon wines (at least not to my palate). Some interesting minerality comes in with the finish. This is very good wine IMHO, not flashy, but given to introspection. I wish I had more, and could have opened one 2 years ago, and another for 2 years from now. Very good tonight.
