2003 Evesham Wood, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Dark crimson in color. On the nose there is earth, black berry and a touch of spice. On the palate there are very nice cherry flavors with a touch of vanilla and pepper. Everything holds together all the way through the medium length finish, This was also an excellent value priced at $12.99. This is a very enjoyable bottle of wine. 89 points

I haven't had anything but their Cuvee J, a fine Pinot Noir that ages as well as any American PN I've ever had. Their wines are hard to find here.

Did you notice any flaws in the wine?
Upon tasting, I picked up some aromas of grape bubble gum and Glue Stic. A friend pointed out that these are signs of Ethyl Acetate.

No. I did not detect any flaws with the wine and I have quaffed several bottles. Maybe some bottle variation which might have something to do with the artificial cork. I hate screw tops and artificial corks. I have noticed bottle variation in other wines that have used artificial corks.
