| - 2003 Ponzi Vineyards Pinot Gris - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (3/25/2005)
Purchased off the wine list at Stella Blues Cafe in Kihei for $36. Pale straw color. Quite forward, with crisp lemon-lime and kiwi flavors. A little meek on the finish, but quite refreshing overall. Reminded me of a lightly creamy version of NZ sauv blanc (right down to the screwcap). Not sure of its retail price, but I'd buy this wine at $16 or less as a nice summer sipper. (88 pts.)
