1999 Ken Wright Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Canary Hill Vineyard -- dark ruby with bricking at edges; big cherry, vanilla, violet nose; rich cherry, raspberry, flavours, hints of cedar, very silky; medium-long fruit-laden finish. About 90-1 pts. Easy to drink quickly.

How was the acidity and how ready to drink is this wine? We had the 1999 Guadelupe last night and it was acidic and needed more time in the bottle. I have 3 of the Canary Hill.

Enough acidity to keep the flavours bright and pumping, but certainly not enough to detract from the wine. I had a sip when the bottle was first opened, and about an hour or a bit less in the decanter certainly helped it to open up more, but the bottle we had was drinking well. This wine might still improve a bit, but it shouldn't disappoint today.
