| 2001 Maysera Willamette PN Their entry level wine, $19 from Garagiste. Medium red, nose is buttery oak, candied cherry, a slight hint of fatty meat, walnuts and cinnamon. Nice mouth feel with cherries on the palate ending with a pleasant cherry/rhubarb tartness and the slightest bit of discernable alcohol. (14.4%). Not bad, particularly for the price.

| | Try the 2002 Delara if you find it. It is Maysara's "top of the line" pinot. BTW--Jimi Brooks, Maysara's winemaker, died of a heart attack about 2 weeks ago. | | | |

| Thanks Mark, I'll do that if I get the opportunity. I'll also spell MAYSARA correctly. Pretty scary, these young guys dying suddenly.
