This is the second time having this wine with similar experiences. This is a lush wine with a nice balance of ripe blackberrry, vanillia and touch of cinnamon. What I like about this wine is that it is much more restrained and balanced than most of the Cal SLH pinots I have been drinking lately. This is one of my favorite choices in Oregon with both the '01 and '02 being consistently good. 92-93 pts.

TT, we tasted this at The Carlton Winemaker's Studio last Summer. As I remember, the bottle was opened just prior to tasting, so my notes likely weren't made when the wine was showing its best:

"nose of cherries, ample acidity and tannin to age well, 88-90"
