Gold color. Nose is of citrus and butterscoth. On the palate there is tropical fruit, more butterscotch with a touch of lemmon. Finish turns a bit buttery with the fruit still hanging on to the end. Very well balanced and silky. Also the finish lingers for almost a minute. It says a lot for Oregon when you get a 10 year old chardonnay with this much life still in it...very nice wine........91pts.........

Cheers
Paul

Jim Maresh opened another one of these this evening. Bottle varitation can be a problem with certain older wines. Although these came from the same case the example this evening was very tired with oxidised odors and the fruit falling away after a short time of being opened. This is to be expected in a chardonnay of this age. Jim has 3 of these left. It will be interesting to try another to see if there is further damage caused by the wrath of time. The first bottle from the night before was very alive. Hopefully the rest will show as well as the first one.

cheers
Paul
