Dark ruby (but not black) in color. Nose is kind of closed but there is a good dose of blackberry hiding in there somewhere. On the palate there is more blackberry and a touch of leather. Medium bodied and with flavors that carry all the way to the mild tannic finish. A really nice but not great bottle on sale @ $ 8.99. I'll give this one 87 to 88 pts.
