| I cannot remember when/where I picked this up, but I am glad I did. I have no idea what is in this red blend, but I suspect a bit of Cabernet and Merlot and not sure what else.
Anyway, I had this with some filet mignon that I pan seared and finished in th e oven. Deglazed the pan with some wine and threw some mushrooms in and reduced. Finished it all with some mashed potatoes. Yum.
This bottle was humming pretty well. Nice legs, medium dark color. Brambly fruit on the nose. This was folllowed by more, blackberry especially, in the mouth. Nome nice mineraliness, and/or dare I say it, slate?! Traces of vanilla and wisps of oak rounded it out. Well balanced with some well structured tannins that could have made this last several more years had I not drunk it tonight.
