| Glad I opened this tonight – when I removed the foil capsule the cork was found to be leaking . On removing the cork, it was evident by the thin trail of wine on one side that this was due to cork failure. Not surprising due to the obvious low quality of the cork…
Anyhow, good dark saturated purple color, with a pleasant nose showing cassis, chocolate, anise, and berries. Moderate tannins are a little chunky, while the wine delivers nice soft fruit and reasonably high acidity. Slightly drying on the medium-short finish, and a tad hollow in the middle. A decent and pleasurable wine, but not particularly noteworthy – and certainly not suitable for aging. 84 points, drink now. At $20 not a very impressive QPR.

You know, when you are in the tasting room (last Sept., when we were there for the PNW soiree), most everything they poured was crap and this actually stood head and shoulders above the rest - so we grabbed one.
