2003 Columbia Crest Walter Clore Private Reserve - USA, Washington, Columbia Valley (7/20/2008)
WIML89+?,PURPLE91

Tasted July 19, 2008.

14.2% alcohol. Opened and splash decanted briefly before serving. Dark garnet color in the glass, vibrant hue throughout. Nose of vanilla, currant, berries and cherries. Flavors of raspberries, red currants and berries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Nice, easy drinking QPR red from Washington that can be found for under $30.00 a bottle. Recommended on that basis. Drink now with a decant or continue to hold. (89 pts.)

Thanks for the note, always a favorite of mine......the last time I opened an '02 it was rockin'......

And I remember a few years ago when they were selling the '01 and '02 vintages for under $20.00 per........now that was a great price!

...

(In fact, I still have at least one bottle of each......time to open soon)
