2003 Spring Valley Uriah (a blend of 77% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot)

decanted for about 1.5-2 hours.

Super duper nose, somewhat light in color relative to the nose but still nice. Nose of smoky dark fruit, plums, roasted red pepper, blackberry and cream. One of those wines I could just sniff for a week. Flavors on the palate mirror the nose. Refined tannins and a long finish. This has really evolved since my last tasting 7 months ago and I think time in the decanter is essential at this point in its evolution. I am going to have to find more of these...94+
