| Purple, moderate intense nose of pepper, cedar, spice, blackberry and bitter chocolate. Full body, moderate acidity and high tannin. Matching palate, balanced. 91pts.

| | The winery has been around for a few years. The new wines are of a much higher caliber because Steve Clifton is now making the wines. These are WA wines for the table and won't ever be the QC 100pt monsters. | | | |

| Thanks for the info re: Steve Clifton. I like a lot of the wines he makes (inc. Palmina). The Ash Hollow wines seem to be reasonably priced as well.
When did Clifton start as their winemaker? | | | |
