Tasted July 15, 2006 at an offline. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet glass. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of bell pepper, coffee, pepper, spices and a mix of berries. Flavors of blackberries, mineral and coffee. Medium acidity, medium tannins. Full bodied. No value recommendation. (92 pts.) | |

Tasted September 26, 2007. Dark purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of roasted meat dominates with a slightly off-putting herbaceousness. Flavors of red berries and red cherries; almost jammy on the palate. Light acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full body. Drinking now with a decant might help or keep holding and see if it happens to resolve in bottle. Tasted twice now and this bottle was much less enjoyable than the first (87 pts.) | |
