| | Hmm...I am probably in the minority here but I found this wine freakish. It had a medium plus nose loaded with oak and blueberries. Some overripe (mostly) blackberry, smoke and chocolate was peaking out. It was full bodied, with full intensity, way over the top with medium acidity. The palate was all about power with no real depth or finesse. Enormous alcohol was present on the palate and all the way through the finish. I appreciate having the opportunity to taste this and hate having to trash it considering that it was graciously opened by Rick, but it was overtop, alcoholic, overripe and just a caricature of Cabernet. I cannot fathom that a wine that out of balance could ever come into balance. This was sadly my least favorite wine of the night. | | | |

| We kind of agree but I still thought it was good quality. I think there is a big question of how this vintage will age.

| Thanks for poping this Rick. In retrospect I must consider this my WOTN. Two other wines were very close. ( Run RIg & Maiden) This is a wine built for the Cali Cab drinker all the way. For those of you with an old world palate, this wine just might ruin your day. | | LC17SMP | |

| | I enjoyed all the wines that evening, though less so than the company. I know you didn't make the wine so I hoped you wouldn't care if I took it to task. That wine, and yes the Linne Caloddo lacked the most basic thing I look for in wine, balance. I'm still suprised I actually got that Sangiovese blind, it was interesting. | | | |
